Forests of Montenegro

In addition to five national parks, we will explore other areas with the Great Spotted Woodpecker and meet its relatives, as well as other animal species typical for forests that make  our country more beautiful and richer.

Did you know that in 1991, Montenegro was declared an ecological state? More than 60 percent of Montenegrin surface is covered with forests, and it is one of the greenest countries in Europe, after Finland, Sweden, and Slovenia. The animal world is also very rich.

Have fun and explore together with our friends, who will introduce you to the magical world of flora and fauna. Don’t forget that we must take care of them – our role in their existence is as important as theirs in ours! Let’s be kind to other species we share this space with!
